Music education gets boost from Steve Miller
The only think Steve Miller is committed to more than music is music education. He and his band give proof to that by planning a benefit concert for The Fender Center’s Kids Rock Free music education program.
Miller is a donor to and trustee of the organization that’s dedicated to provided free and low cost music classes to kids in more than 14,000 Southern California cities. The show, dubbed “Rock & Roll Formal,” will raise back up funds to fill funding gaps for the “Campaign 800″ program, which addresses the needs of 800 children already enrolled.
“In my opinion, this school is the best, self-sustaining, community music program in the country that focuses on teaching music by involving parents and children in a way that inspires and rewards,” Miller said. (Read More…)
